Could someone please explain to me how I graph these two functions? g(x)=x-4 and h(x)=3x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Either you can use a calculator or you can plug in random point into x to get a y value. Then plot the coordinates onto a graph

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't want to use a calculator. But If I plug in let's say 1 into g(1)=1-4, then g(1)=-3, but how do I graph that coordinate?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

g(x) is similar to a y value the coordinate for is (1,-3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh I see, so If I plug in 2 as the next coordinate I would get (2,-2)?
