If line f is parallel to the line h, and line f has y-intercept 5, what is the equation of line f ?

OpenStudy (isaiah.feynman):

No slope??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no slope. someone has asked the same question. I will join them Thank you any way

OpenStudy (isaiah.feynman):

Any info on line h?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If the line h passes through the two points (1, 2) and (3, 6)

OpenStudy (isaiah.feynman):

That's what we need to be able to solve!!!

OpenStudy (isaiah.feynman):

Ok the slope of h is 2. And parallel lines have the same slope so the slope of line f is 2 as well!. Thus the equation for line f is y=2+5.

OpenStudy (isaiah.feynman):

I mean y = 2x+ 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh ok thank you sir
