is the answer 1/120? check out attachment in comment box
It would actually be 5/24. When you have 3/8 x 5/9, you can cancel out the 3 and reduce the 9 to 3. This leaves us with 1/8 x 5/3. For the numerator, you would multiply 1x5, and for the denominator, you would multiply 8x3. So we would have 5 in the numerator and 24 in the denominator. Since 5/24 cannot be reduced any further, this is our answer. Hope I helped!
the correct answer was actually 27/40
oops sorry I misread the sign!! what you would do is keep the first fraction the same, change the division sign to a multiplication sign, and then flip the second fraction (also known as the keep, change, flip method).
so we have 3/8 x 9/5. We multiply 3x9 for the numerator and 8x5 for the denominator. This is how you get 27/40. Does this method make sense?
Yes! I understand now. It's easier than I thought. Thanks!
You're welcome!! I'm still sorry!!
