is y=-3(4^x) an exponential function

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do you think?

OpenStudy (debbieg):

What do you think? What makes a function an "exponential function"?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it is.

OpenStudy (debbieg):

Right... :) because an exponential function has the variable in the exponent. Something of the form: \(\Large y=b^x\) And the constant of -3 out in front, that is just a reflection and a vertical stretch. :)

Thanks, best responce.

You're welcome. :)
