I just elaborate Ryaans answer: The Green part is a 5-membered sugar, the green thing a nitrogenous base and thous two parts create a "nucleoside" in our case "adenosine" When we add inorganic phosphate groups we change the nucleoside into nucleotides. We name after how many inorganic phosphates there are: 1 mono 2 di 3 tri So our name is adenosine diphosphate.
