REWARD AND MEDAL (: 1.) Two trains leave a station at the same time, heading in opposite directions. One train is raveling at 80 km/h, the other at 90 km/h. How long will it take for the trains to be 425 km apart? -the teacher wants us to use r(t)=d using a 3 across 3 across below that chart. then do equation please....???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

they are travelling apart at a speed of \(80+90=170\) mph solve \(170\times t=425\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what would go in the chart I said ? @satelite73

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i don't know anything about a chart

OpenStudy (anonymous):

we have to solve these problems by a chart 3 boxes across below that 3 boxes.. Rate times time=distance rate for each train goes in two boxes going own.. time goes into two boxes going down and distance goes in two boxes going down...??

|dw:1377816734849:dw|\[Distance=speed *time\]\[t=\frac{ D }{ s }=\frac{ 425 }{ 80+90 }=\frac{ 425 }{ 170 }\]
