Can someone explain this (:

OpenStudy (debbieg):

Solve each for y. That will give you the line in the form y=mx + b Just isolate y.

im confused ....could you do one for me showing me the steps?

Hello ? @DebbieG

OpenStudy (debbieg):

I'll do a similar one. They are all a little bit different though. But if I have: 6x-5=2y+7 (similar in form to your #14) then to solve for y: subtract 7 from both sides: 6x-12=2y Divide through by 2 on both sides: 3x - 6 = y So there's your slope-intercept form: y = 3x - 6
