Explain why natural numbers, whole numbers, and integers are all subsets of the set rational numbers?

OpenStudy (oaktree):

We define rational numbers to be all numbers that can be written as a product of two integers. So since we can make the denominator 1 and then set the top to any natural, whole, or integer we want, we can essentially get any natural, whole, or integer. Makes sense?

yes it does, thanks

OpenStudy (oaktree):

Great.
