How to get over a bad grade? Hey guys, i'm an honor roll student that cares a lot about his grades. Recently I got a 64, now my grade is a 64 since it's the beginning of the school year. The other day I learned that I can retake it. But the thing is, in my other class I retook a test (that I got a zero on) and made a 40, now my grade is a 40! We did a few projects and he didn't put that in. I'm pretty stressed out since I normally do my grades, i'm not even sure what I do wrong! Please help guys, because I'm seriously putting myself down right now

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

first off: don't panic

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

it's the beginning of the year and you have plenty of time to make it up

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

usually the beginning of the year is rocky because you're starting a whole new class with a whole new topic and not everything is going to click but keep at it

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

You'll be able to bring your grade up in no time. The key is to just keep at it and don't give up. If you give up now, then your grade will go down. However, if you focus on working hard, it will go back up again.

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

and confidence is important too if you put yourself down, then you will be down and you'll only spiral down further. So find something good about yourself and focus on that. That will help you improve your confidence and everything else as well.

Thank you so much, I guess i'll have to think of those things more often

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

yes make it a conscious effort if you're naturally a pessimist focus on a goal you want and just go get it It won't come to you. You have to get it yourself
