Is my answer in correct? The answer is negative six isn't it?

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

6 =/= 35

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

6 is not the same as 35, your equation is incorrect

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Please explain! I'm really confused...

OpenStudy (littlebird):

Were you solving for x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes. My final answer is -6.

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

I'm confused about your question, what exactly are we checking? Remember the equal sign (=) means that things are the same. So if I write 34 = 6, that is a lie because 34 is obviously not the same as the 6 if I write 3 = 2+1, this makes sense because 2+1 is the same as 3

OpenStudy (mertsj):

yes. -6 is correct

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

careful with your equal signs :S

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yay! Thank you everyone. :D Can you help me with one more please?
