Describe the relationship between ATP and ADP and the importance of this relationship within a cell.

Adenosine Trphosphate (ATP) is the phosphorylated form of Adenosine Diphosphate (ADP). ATP has two high energy phosphate bonds which can be broken in chemical reactions within the cell, while ADP has only one high energy phosphate bond.
