In this process, some genetic material is wasted. A) Asexual reproduction B) Sexual reproduction C) Meiosis D) Cell division

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This process is asexual reproduction.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I was thinking meiosis...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Never.meiosis is totally different.it is a part of cell division but asexual reproduction is process where many many genetic materials like spore or egg(of fishes)produced because there is less chance of fertilization.

OpenStudy (aaronq):

"..asexual reproduction is process where many many genetic materials like spore or egg(of fishes)produced because there is less chance of fertilization." By that same rationale, you can say that (meiosis) necessary for gamete formation (sperm), is also a correct answer because only 1 out of millions is used.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Shouldn't we say then It's Cell division?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Cell division includes Meiosis and mitosis as well as sexual and asexual reproduction right?? or wrong? :I

OpenStudy (aaronq):

I don't know what the answer would be because i don't understand what is meant by "wasted".

OpenStudy (anonymous):

dingdingdingding is the answer
