Question

a ride at the state fair costs 4 tickets. the function r(x) gives the total number of tickets that a person has used after x rides. find the domain and range. continuous or discrete?

if we ride x amount of rides our function would be
f(x) = 4x
this is probably discrete in this example because there are some values of x that we would never use.

example: f(pi) = 4pi does not really make sense because what does pi rides mean...
