Oh okay, they played as many economic roles, the armor of the soldiers would often be preserved, to influence writings, also known as "mythologies", this indeed made the economy better in the sense that they were very popularized for the fame of writings, which increased interactions that boosted economy growth.
Belief in gods were the main religions, like Zeus, even though he was mythical, controversy spread, thus popularizing them.
