Are the polynomial functions f(x) = 12x^2 + 5x^4 - 2 and g(x) = -2 + 12x^2 + 5x^4 equal?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes. same way that 2 + 1 = 1 + 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So the f(x) and g(x) don't change anything?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no. they are just a letter to distinguish functions. g(x) : g is a function of x h(y): h is a function of y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh ok. Thank you very much

OpenStudy (anonymous):

glad i could help :)
