If the cos of angle x is 17 over 8, and the triangle was dilated to be two times as big as the original, what would be the value of the cos of x for the dilated triangle? I don't understand. I thought cosine was adj/hyp but a hypotenuse can't be less than one of the legs of a triangle like in this question (8 being the hypotenuse). Please help.
