thanks:) can you help with this though? do you know the answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

uhh does anyone know?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

well the formula is \[x = \frac{mx_{2} + nx_{1}}{m + n} ... y = \frac{m y_{2}+ny_{1}}{m + n}\] so a point P is on the line so that \[\frac{CP}{PD} = \frac{4}{1}\] then CP = 4PD so you are looking at the points 1(9, 6) and 4(5, 1) m = 4 and n = 1 then (5, 1) is the 2 point (9, 6) is the 1 point substitute to find the ordered pair P

Is is a or c??

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

do the calculation and you'll find the answer...
