Why is the function of the hormone insulin in regulating blood sugar level a good example of a negative feedback mechanism for maintaining homeostasis?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's because as you increase the amount of insulin, you sequentially decrease the amount of sugar in your blood. Basically what negative feedback does is decrease the normality or idealness value in order to maintain homeostasis. Hope my explanation helped!
