Hey guys I need help with a problem. I was just verifying this but would I put tan(x)=14/20?

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

tan x is Perpendicular/Base So its value is 20/14 :) Got it?? :)

Thank you! :)

notice you can use common sense on this one. If you go over 14 and up 14, that will be 45 degrees. But you are going up 20, which means the angle is steeper that 45 degrees. that rules out any answer less than 45 degrees... without using a calculator. |dw:1377960445496:dw|
