Ryan bought a total of 40 juiceboxes. He bought 8 more boxes of apple juice than of grape juice. How many of each kind did he buy?

As for this question let us try a cooler way to solve it.. apple + grape = 40 apple = grape + 8 Substitute apple's value in the first equation. grape + 8 + grape = 40 2* grape = 32 grape = 16 Now apple is = grape + 8 So now you can find apple and grape!! :D Understood? :)
