!!! One Medal Question !!! Give an example of a scientific question that could be investigated with an experiment. Then give an example of scientific question that could not be investigated in this way.
@Frostbite @.Sam. @InYourHead @LilySwan @wach @Zale101 @calculusxy
The question could be like anything that can be quantifiable (\(\approx counted\)), once you think of something, think of something that cannot be studied with the same procedure. Like, testing water for contaminants, then testing if two cats have the same hair composition. or something
I can do that but I get stuck over here -> Then give an example of scientific question that could not be investigated in this way. Now if I take this - > if two cats have the same hair composition. what would be the second question (which is supposed to be linked to the first part... @aaronq
we'll what experiment would you use to test that?
i dont know... magnifying glass ? maybe
not quite, that type of analysis is a bit more complicated :P i'd suggest trying something simpler, like, "how much salt does it take to lower the freezing point of water by 1 degree".
ok, so how do we experiment that by a thermometer?
yeah, you'd basically add salt in increments of whatever mass you want and observe the solution be liquid until -1 celsius.
right then whats the next step ?
it has to be related right? How bout something physical again, measuring how much salt it takes to raise the boiling point of water by 1 degree? Or is the question asking for something different?
yeah it has to be related, its asking for an example of scientific question that could not be investigated in this way.
like with the specific experiment? in what i proposed you would have to cool one to it's freezing point and, for the other (BP) you could not find out by cooling it. Does that work or does it have to be something more different in the procedure or fundamentally?
well maybe a little easier or just explain me a bit more about the question :)
This question is interesting! c:
is that it ? does the question answers everything ?
To be honest, i'm not sure what the question asks, to me it seems a little vague. Most experiments are specific to one set of conditions.
I guess its all rite ! Thanks For spending time on this :) nobody was abled to answer this question when I posted it earlier ! Thanks to you u have been such a great helper !!! 3 medals for u
When you get the actual answer of this question then let me know :3 This is so interesting question! I'm so curious to know the actual answer :D @tanya123
where do i get the actual answer ?
I don't know! I used my brains all parts to make the answer of this question hahah! But couldn't get the answer unfortunately!! The answer of this question should be interesting like the question is!
lol....I know but u know there is no real answer for this question its just a task ! This a really interesting yet tricky one too :)
''A scientific question without an experiment'' That question can't be ''A scientific'' if it's without any experiment!
What About the unexistance of something not scientific tht can't be experimented?
What is that ''unexist'' thing? And how can we experiment that if it's unexist? :I
Alien life in this world
But they're exist!
Humm thats true indeed, so something tht doesnt exist that needs to be experiment is a chanlenge.....
