amount of change/original amount = percent of change/100

143/130 = x/100

143 x 100 = 14,300
130 x 1 = 130

so we now have the fraction 14,300 over 130 which reduces to 110 over 1 which is actually just 110.

So x = 110. Our percentage increase is 110.
