true or false 4. Molecules in different organisms that perform the same function are likely to have a similar structure.

OpenStudy (aaronq):

what do you think, knowing that all organisms evolved from one common ancestor?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh yea false

OpenStudy (aaronq):

why do you think it's false?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because its in "different" organisms

OpenStudy (aaronq):

but we all came from the same place.. I'll make an analogy, cars look different on the outside, but they all have engines (which perform the same function in all), do these engines have a similar structure? (pistons, etc) yes, they do. It's the same with organisms (sure, there are variations) for example, we all carry oxygen (those that use oxygen) in the same way.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well if the molecule performs the same function, if it had another structure it would be a different function. It's true.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh, thank u you
