i need help solving this equation 5x/7-6=x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{ 5x }{ 7 } - 6 = x\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{ 5x - 42 }{ 7} = x \] \[--> 7x = 5x -42\] \[7x - 5x = (-42) -> 2x = (-42) -> x = \frac{ - 42 }{ 2 } = -21\] x = -21

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you so much now to try to figure out the rest of these questions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

your Welcome ;)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

these questions are hard

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no,not very hard...but you should practice alot and then you can solve every kind of these questions...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im stuck on another one :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OK,write it...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x/4=x/6+3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{ x }{ 4 } = \frac{ x }{ 6 } + 3\] \[\frac{ x }{ 4 } = \frac{ x + 18 }{ 6 } \] \[4 (x + 18) = 6x -> 4x + 72 = 6x \] \[--> 4x - 6x = -72 -> -2x = -72 -> 2x = 72 --> x = \frac{ 72 }{ 2 } \] x = 36

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

your welcome:)
