OpenStudy (psymon):

It doesnt equal anything? Theres just an empty equal sign.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

rea ???

OpenStudy (psymon):

Well look at your post. You didnt put what it equals.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i meet u a equl sign on it

OpenStudy (psymon):

Huh?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i put a equal sign on it did u see ??

OpenStudy (psymon):

But what does it equal to? I mean, unless it equals something, all we can do is make it into one fraction. If it equals 0, we can move things around. But without knowing what it equals to theres not much we can do to alter it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay but how ?? i can answer 3y/10x^2 + 5/xy^2

OpenStudy (psymon):

Just that by itself, theres nothing that can be answered. There has to be more to the problem or there is nothing we cando with it.

OpenStudy (raden):

i think you want simplify it, right @sarahwoo ? like we sum of 2/3 + 3/5, take the LCM of the denominators then simplify...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but how ?? can found the LCM and the answer can u help me answer it ??

OpenStudy (psymon):

Problem is nothing simplifies. We can combine them, but thats about it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh i see

OpenStudy (psymon):

If your problem wanted us to combine them then that's fine, but this is what you would get out of combining them: \[\frac{ 3y ^{3}+50x }{ 10x ^{2}y ^{2} } \] See, it doesnt really do anything for us.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thanks

OpenStudy (psymon):

Yeah, sure :3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:) thanks
