A Plane is ascending at the rate of 100km/hr.If the radius of the Earth is r km,how fast is the area of earth, visible from the plane, increasing at three minutes after it started ascending.
Where are the initial positions? Are we asking about the area of the intersection of the plane through the Earth?
dunno
There is no solution, or rather infinite solutions, if you don't provide an initial position for the plane relative to the Earth. Does it start at the middle? Does it start at the bottom and go up? Does it start at the top and never intersect?
Is it an air plane...?

don't think too much..lol :/
You are sitting in an aeroplane and it is ascending downwards, you are continuously moving towards earth so it is obvious that size of earth will increase in your frame of reference now this happens for 3 minutes,so we have to find the rate at which that area is changing I guess this is what the question means
ascend/descend whatever
Is this a homework question or your own question?
The diameter of the earth will change based on how close you hold the ruler to your eye.
