Use the distributive law to factor each of the following. Check by multiplying.

1. 9x+ 9y

My question is: Do I divide both sides by 9, because they have a 9 in common? Or do I divide both sides by 2, because there are two 9s?

Also, how would I get the solution to this problem?

this is not an equation. this just a simple expression
