A barrel had 20 liters of water. Water leaked out from the barrel at a constant rate. After 24 hours, 14 liters of water was left in the tank. How many liters of water leaked out per hour? a.0.25 b.0.50 c.1.42 d.3.14

A. .25 because the amount of water that has leaked is the final-initial, and the rate is just that amount divided by the change in time. In this case 14-20=6 liters lost, it doesn't matter that it is negative as you just want the absolute value. 6/24=.25 liters per hour
