test the equation for symmetry: x^4 y^4 + x^2 y^2=1

OpenStudy (experimentx):

put x=-x, the equation remains invariant. so it's symmetric about y axis. similarly you can show that it is symmetric about x axis. put y=x and x=y ... the equation remains invarint, so it's symmetric about y=x line too.
