area of rectangle and two semicircles. not sure how to even begin figuring that out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are the two semicircles equal?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if the two semicircles are equal, then you can just "put them together" and make a circle so you only have to find the area of a rectangle and a circle. If the semicircles are not equal, then for each one find the area as if it was a circle, and then halve that area
