vectors

OpenStudy (anonymous):

find the component form and the magnitude of the vector v with the given initial and terminal points. then find the unit vector to the direction of v

OpenStudy (anonymous):

initial point (3,2,0) terminal point (4,1,6)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Subtract the terminal point by the initial point.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ya the component form would be <1,-1,6> and magnitude would be sqrt(38)...am i right?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

Correct !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright how about unit vector is it v/||v||

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

correct

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

thats rihgt, divide the component form by the magnitude, you wud get the unit vector

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thx guys

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

np :) you seem to be the best, good work !!!
