An equation and its graph are given. Find the x- and y-intercepts. (If an answer does not exist, enter DNE.) x2 + y3 − x2y2 = 64 can't find the y-intercept

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

To find x-intercepts put y=0 in the equation. To find y-intercepts put x=0 in the equation. Understood? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah i did that but i got the answer wrong it just put a red x next to it

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

x-intercepts = +-8 y-intercepts = -4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its not 4 and -4 why only -4

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

Yes it is 4 only. -4 was typo. LOL :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so why isnt it both?

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

because -4 CUBED is -64 :D

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

understood?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah thanks a ton!

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):
