Please please help: Create a linear equation with a positive slope to be your original trajectory.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

create a linear equation with a positive slope?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that all?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its the first part of my question on a work sheet.

OpenStudy (debbieg):

A linear equation is of the form y=mx+b. m is the slope. Write such an equation with m>0. Any b you want, unless there is more to the problem such that you have an initial value for y.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

create two random numbers, one positive, and the other doesn't matter

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, so y=mx+b.. y=4x+1... does that work?

OpenStudy (debbieg):

Yes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok cool.. Thank you!

OpenStudy (debbieg):

Even y=4x works. Just has b=0 :)

OpenStudy (debbieg):

you're welcome.
