The length of a football playing field is 100 yards between the opposing goal lines. What is the length of the football field in feet? Use the conversion equivalency of 3 feet = 1 yard.

if the field was 1 yard long, how many feet would it be ? the field will be 100 times longer than that "1 yard field"
it is 300 feet
Also remember that if you are going from a lower unit to a higher unit, you are to divide. So you have to do the inverse operation to move from a higher unit to a lower unit-meaning that you have to multiply. Since you are to go from a higher unit to a lower unit, you have to multiply 100 yards by three because 1 yard=3 feet. So the answer equals to 300 feet.
