Help During the Haitian Rebellion, France struggled to maintain control of the island. Why did Napoleon Bonaparte feel that it was so important to keep the island under French rule? It was a valuable source of slave labor. It was centrally located in the Caribbean. It was a valuable source of goods like coffee and sugar. It gave the French an advantage of position over the Spanish.

I'd say that it was because it was a valuable source of goods like coffee and sugar. At the time, Haiti supplied more than half of the coffee and a little less than half of all the sugar to colonial powers (like Britain and France). That was a lot of bling that Napoleon didn't want to give up.
