similar problem @ http://openstudy.com/users/ganeshie8#/updates/522617bde4b06211a67febfe see if it helps :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ganeshie8 i just need help figuring out what i did wrong, I graphed the inequalities but it doesn't form a polygon

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

is this same one i help with before?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@dumbcow yes i thought i understood once you explained the process, but then once I graphed them they didn't form a polygon

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

looks like you may have not graphed the lines correctly...make sure you solve for "y" and get it in "y=mx+b" form

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i did that.. the three equations in y=mx+b form that i got were y is greater than or equal to x +8, y is less than or equal to 1/3x +4, and y is greater than or equal to x-2

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

the first line should be \[y \ge -x+8\]

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

the other 2 are correct :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhh okay i see what i did

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the minimum would be at 3, 5?

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

yep

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you!

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

yw
