What are electrons and protons
Parts of atom.
An atom is made up of protons, neutrons and electrons. Protons and neutrons are found in the nucleus of the atom, and electrons orbit the nucleus. The atomic number of an atom is also the number of protons that it contains in its nuclei as well as the number of electrons orbiting the atom. Electrons are negatively charged and protons are positively charged, so the atom has a neutral charge.
