OpenStudy (anonymous):

|–4b – 8| + |–1 – b²| + 2b³ ; b = –2 (I need help solving!)

OpenStudy (phi):

the first step is replace all the b's with -2 and remember (for example) -4b is short for -4 times b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know those steps, but once I evaluate the -2 and distribute I forget where to go from there?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i would solve what is in the "brackets" then after that i would solve the exponent part then just add whatever is left.
