factor x^3-4x^2-x+4
(x+4)(x+1)(x-1)
great. i i forgot to put that I already knew the answer thanks to wolframalpha.com i just don't know HOW to get it. In other words, can you please show work?
x^3 + 4x^2 x^2 (x + 4) -x - 4 -(x + 4) Doing that will bring us to this: x^3 + 4x^2 - x - 4 x^2 (x + 4) - (x + 4) (x + 4)(x^2 - 1) (x+4)(x+1)(x-1)
Do you understand that you start the problem with the exponents? and then make your way through PEMDAS? Remember that. Good luck
