You have 1/4 of a tank of gas and 10 dollars in your wallet. Gas is $2.50/gallon and your car holds 13 gallons. Explain how you would find out how many total gallons you will have in your car after you put in $10 worth of gas. help me?!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

13*.25= 3.25 gallons which is what you had to begin with, then to find out how many more you can put in you take $10/ $2.50= 4 gallons you just put in. Add 3.25 plus 4 and you get your total number of gallons you will have which is 7.25
