Lewis bought two types of books. The nature books cost $6.50 each and the novels cost$4.25 each. He spent a total of $38.50. How many if each type of book did he buy?

With the given data, the only way to solve it is trying different values for the equation (x=nature books and y=novels). Also you can solve graphically when x and y are both integer values 6.5x+4.25y=38.5 I have obtained: x=2 and y=6 13+25.5=38.5
