Hello, can anyone help me understand these 3 questions? http://imgur.com/r9rj4mh Sorry I couldn't post it here but my school doesn't allow me to copy and paste. I just don't understand math at all. (Please don't give me the answers)

ok first of all you need to know the difference between numerical and variable expressions.. Numerical expressions involve numbers associated with the help of some algebraic operation (+,-,*,/...) e.g. 5+3, 3/3 etc While variable expressions involve variables (denoted by alphabets usually)...a variable can take any numerical value...e.g x+3 (here x is a variable) (x can be any number)
