yep, you can compare their reduction potentials to figure out which is more reactive than the other.

Since Cu is fairly unreactive as well, i would think it's because of their valence electron configuration.

in that they're \(4s^13d^{10}\;and\;5s^14d^{10}\), and their d orbitals are full
