OpenStudy (meilendurcer):

can anyone help with this?

OpenStudy (meilendurcer):

\[\frac{ 2 }{ 3 } (x - 2) = 4x\]

OpenStudy (austinl):

You distribute. \(\large{\frac{2}{3}(x)-\frac{2}{3}(2)=4x}\)

OpenStudy (meilendurcer):

ok

OpenStudy (austinl):

So, what is the resulting equation?

OpenStudy (meilendurcer):

I have no idea.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how about \[\frac{2}{3}(x-2)=4x \Rightarrow 2(x-2)=12x \Rightarrow 2x - 4 = 12 x\] and solve for x

OpenStudy (austinl):

\(\large{\dfrac{2x}{3}-\dfrac{4}{3}=4x}\) \(x=-\dfrac{2}{5}\)
