jim has 20 inch wheels on his bicycle (their diameter is 20 inches) the tires are worn out, an he would like to cut them into pieces to use as a bumber on something hes making. estimate the length of rubber jim would get out of from his two bicycle tires

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

tires are hollow and they don't fully take the whole diameter, there's an empty middle, so we dunno those variants, so the question is rather incomplete

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hahah then what am I supposed too do? The answer choices are 60in. 40in. 120in. 126in

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Find the circumference of the tire. \(C = \pi d\) \( \pi \) is 3.14159..., or approximately 3, so multiply it by the diamter to get an estimate of the circumference.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You couldn't of just told me the answer!? Lol
