Moonsons where  crucial beuase it was one of the most effictive ways to be able to water crops for example the chinese practicied a method where they grew rice by planting them before a moonson so it could be drowned, this method insured that the rice never dried out and became crucial to the chinese becuase it was a constant food supply, same thing for the Indian People, This constant food supply insured their survival.In India this phenomenon affected the type and frequency of crops which enabled humans to settle in large cities that could be supported by the countryside
