If you like this new group - for organic chemistry questions, thank @abb0t for the suggestion!

OpenStudy (chmvijay):

Good to have organic group here thanks to @abbot a harcore organic guy @Preetha for this new group Hope, it will definitely help the users of open study :)

OpenStudy (goformit100):

Thanks @abb0t

OpenStudy (selrachcw95):

Thanks @abb0t and @Preetha Now Preetha I would like to make a suggestion as well!!!!!

thomaster (thomaster):

@selrachcw95 Just post your suggestion \(\Large\ddot\smile\)

thomaster (thomaster):

By the way, why only organic chemistry How about Inorganic, Analytical, Physical, Nuclear, Clinical or Quantum chemistry? This way I could also think of many subsections for biology: Zoology, Botany, Ecology, Biochemistry, Anatomy, Cell biology, Microbiology, Molecular biology, Genetics, Taxonomy

OpenStudy (abb0t):

First trying organic, but I too requested biochemistry, (in the chemistry section), but I have not seen too many biochemistry questions asked from upper division Biochemistry. I have forgotten quite a bit of my biochemistry from metabolic and structural as well as macromolecules :-P As far as the other courses go, such as physical, analytical, inorganic, quantum etc., is because there are not many students on OpenStudy who are at that level yet. Most users are predominantly High School users or 1\(^{st}\)//2\(^{nd}\) year college students who have not taken those courses before. Furthermore, not all college students choose Chemistry as their major. It is clearly not for the weak :-) But, as I looked at a catalog recently for a junior college, almost all of the courses they offer are the same as those that are on OpenStudy! Meaning, lower division courses. (However, organic in \(some\) colleges is considered upper-division). I think that once OS expands to college, and gain more than 1 or 2 students who can actually help in those subjects, we can ask preetha to add those subtopics! What do you think @thomaster I don't think there are very many users on here who can help others in Chemical Statistics, or Quantum (physics or chemistry) - although I have seen a select few users discuss quantum mechanics questions physics section :-P

OpenStudy (goformit100):

Keep on Requesting @abb0t Brother. I wish all of your Suggestions Be fulfilled...
