OpenStudy (venomblast):

I don't understand Tangent line and velocity problems. please help and with examples

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

if you are given a velocity equation, the tangent is the rate of change in velocity over time... or acceleration....

OpenStudy (abb0t):

basically, the derivative.

OpenStudy (dan815):

the slope of the tangent line could be interpreted as the instantaneous rate of change at some point on the graph

OpenStudy (dan815):

think about it like this

OpenStudy (dan815):

say you have a position vs time graph,
