I have a similar question that I can't seem to solve...the speed of a train is constant at 5.4m/s, and a fugitive trying to hop on it has an acceleration of 1.1m/s^2 and his max speed is 6.2m/s.....any suggestions? I need to find how long it would take him to catch the train. I thought the change in velocity divided by the acceleration would answer it, but its wrong.
