6x-4 < -34 or 3x + 10>10 solve

OpenStudy (austinl):

I will do one, and you can do the other, sound ok?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k

OpenStudy (austinl):

\(6x-4<-34\) First we add 4 to both sides. \(4+(6x-4)<(-34)+4\) Then we simplify. \(6x<-30\) Then you divide by the coefficient on the variable. \(\color{red}{\text{NOTE: If the coefficient is negative, you must switch the sign to it's opposite}}\) \(x<-5\) Now, I want you to try the other! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then the next one would be 0? correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or 6/ 2 over 3

OpenStudy (austinl):

It would be zero :)
